About Stetrix Products
Stetrix has received FDA clearance for the first and only device shown through clinical studies to help reduce the incidence of c-sections and external hemorrhoids during vaginal delivery. This novel device provides external support to the perianal region during the second stage of labor of vaginal childbirth. It is non-invasive, sterile and disposable.
Stetrix is the first company to develop products addressing problems associated with non-scheduled cesarean delivery, delivery-induced hemorrhoids and tissue retraction. The company’s products are focused on preventing frequent, previously unaddressed and expensive-to-treat complications. All of the company’s products are manufactured in the U.S., tested extensively and are latex-free.
The Hem-Avert® Perianal Stabilizer is designed to provide counter-pressure to the perianal region during vaginal childbirth to help reduce the likelihood of cesarean delivery. The benefits of external support have been known for years. Applying pressure by hand, however, is labor intensive and prevents obstetricians and midwives from performing other much needed tasks. Stetrix, Inc. spent years developing a safe and effective device that provides beneficial perianal support during labor and vaginal delivery. The product has also been the subject of, and is supported by multiple clinical studies. Learn more about the product here.
The TRS® Tissue Retention System is a novel tissue management system that enables quick and easy retraction and retention of anatomical tissue in a manner far superior to traditional surgical tapes and adhesive films. TRS® products are designed to preserve skin integrity and utilize a latex-free, hypoallergenic contact surface that is residue-free upon removal. The system allows repositioning of the patient in seconds without disturbing the sterile field. Due to its reliability and ease of use, applications for the device have grown beyond obstetrics (pannus retraction and retention) into femoral catheterization, spinal and orthopedic markets. A number of configurations are available to help combat skin tears, epidermal stripping, blistering and other complications.
